The event was a fantastic opportunity to learn and a great chance to rub shoulders with innovators, developers, and leaders at the forefront of the business tech world! And, with the celebration of Acumatica’s 10th anniversary, there was also plenty of fun to be had in an all-around festive environment filled with music and great food.

Acumatica solidified its reputation as one of the world’s safest, most adaptable, and cost-effective Cloud ERP solutions with last year’s release, Acumatica 2017 R2 (also known as Acumatica 5.0). The latest version, 2017 R2 signified the next step in the evolution of Acumatica’s product into something that offers fully-mobile capabilities, as well as business-specific editions that focused on the challenges faced by different sectors of the economy, such as Commerce, Manufacturing, Construction, and Field Services.

With the enormous success of Acumatica 2017 R2, the company enjoyed a whopping a 144% increase in revenue over last year. And, even with this expansion, data security remained a top priority. Acumatica was proud to announce it had 0 security breaches in 2017.

Acumatica’s keynote speakers made vivid demonstrations of Acumatica’s improvements including a new user interface designed to further improve usability, personalization, and a more robust search tool. Acumatica’s developers paid close attention to customer feedback and the software now includes the much-requested filters for its search function. 2018 R1’s fresh interface gives users a better view of their company’s overview, sales figures, and even individual performance. Perhaps best of all, these improvements are also available on the mobile platform; a trend that will continue to be a major focus moving forward.

2018 R1 also introduces significant changes to its Financial Suite, including tracking for complex organizations in need of inter-company accounting functionality. The Projects function also received significant additions. Project managers can view how change orders affect profitability historically, allowing them to spot tendencies and manage project expenses more efficiently. Other improvements include accelerated billing processes and an optimized engine for inventory, sales, and distribution processes, such as real time, one-click ordering.

But one of the most important upgrades to Acumatica 2018 R1, is its next-level of Cloud integrations. There was big news for developers as Acumatica can now use WebHooks, Push Notifications, and Business Event Triggers. This comes along with the announcement of that Acumatica is joining the Open API Initiative, becoming part of an ever-growing network of large industry names such as Google and Adobe.
